Week 12: What The Sharps Are Thinking

DIRECT FROM NEVADA
WITH NICK BOGDANOVICH

We're going up a little early this week because there are three games on Thanksgiving in the NFL. We wanted to make sure you got the information in plenty of time to enjoy full value.
Here's what the sharps are thinking about this week's pro football action based on the early smart money and my discussions with respected sports bettors in Nevada. I greatly appreciate all of you who come back week after week to get this information. I've heard... More...

LA Trend

So far it looks like this will be a bad year to back the Lakers.

After winning a Championship, they are not as hungry. Boston after not repeating last year have that hunger to take their championship back. Combined that they are stacked, helps them cover. (also Magic)

Everyone is out to beat the champs. To the crappiest teams in the NBA, they will give it their all to out the Champs.

Being Champs only inflates the lines extremely, thus making it hard to cover. Combined with a weak bench, teams who are blown out can get back into... More...

Steelers(-6) VS Vikings

October 24, 2009 by Sharkl11
This line started at -4? and jumped to -6. Would still take the -6 because too many factors are going against the Vikings.

1) Steelers are a home team that plays better when they have the field advantage.

2) Injuries on the Vikings team. Pro bowl Cornerback A.Winborn will most likely not play. P. Harvin has injured shoulder, and A. Peterson is not completely 100% healthy from ankle injury.

3) If you stats, you will like this: Steelers are #2 in passing offense against #24 Vikings passing defense and Winborn, their best Cornerback will not play.

4) Vikings, especially... More...

Raiders (+6) VS Jets

October 21, 2009 by Sharkl11
The line opened up at Raiders(+6.5), but after news that NT Jenkins is out, the line had dropped to (+6). Here is my thoughts on why I am going to side with the Raiders this week.

1) Raiders play better at home.

2) Raiders play better at home as underdogs.

3) Sanchez is struggling bad. Playing in a hostile environment in Oakland will not help against a defense that will apply a lot of pressure.

4) Oakland has recorded 10 sacks compared to Jets 5. Without Jenkins(who demands to be double teamed), Russell has more time to... More...

Patriots(-9) VS Titans

October 16, 2009 by Sharkl11
Brady & Co. heads back home after a disappointing close loss in Denver and will face the win less Titans. As -9 Home favorites, I believe this is pretty fair value. Here are some of my reasons why I think Patriots can pull off a double-digit win:

1) The Titans are plagued by injuries. S Vincent Fuller is out. CB Nick Harper is out.
CB C. Finnegan(hamstring) S M. Griffin(neck stinger) are both questionable. If they do play, they won't be at %100 health. DE J. Kearse(foot) will also most likely be out.

2) Pats WRs vs Titans... More...

49ers(-2.5) Vs Falcons

October 7, 2009 by Sharkl11
Why the Falcons will win against the 49ers...

1) Falcons are fresh coming off a bye week.

2) DE John Abraham believes the Falcons won't have problems stopping the run after the bye week. (That is because Frank Gore won't be playing!) Rookie running back Glen Coffee will be stopped easily.

3) RB Jerious Norwood will return to the lineup this week. He adds the element of speed. So Norwood(speed)/Turner(Power) will give the Falcons a dynamic running combo.

4) Falcons have the better Quarterback on the field. QB Matt Ryan has thrown five touchdown passes and just... More...

MNF: Vikings vs Packers

October 5, 2009 by Sharkl11
Opened at Vikings -3.5 now seeing it at -4.5 and having around 78% of public bettors believing they will cover the spread.

Motivation Factor:
-Packers are licking their chops hoping to get their hands on Favre. I believe they have a bigger flame lit under them. We all know that Favre really wants to beat his old team, but Aaron Rodgers has a lot to prove on the line also. Favre is super motivated, but I can't say the same with the rest of his team. With also the pack men having the bye week coming up,... More...
